The Object of the Charity: To relieve poverty, sickness and distress and to advance the education of orphaned children in Malawi, and thereby improve their conditions of life.

Our stated purposes: The prevention or relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the advancement of health, and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

Abba’s Rest Orphans has four trustees: Muriel Wilson (once a social worker, and a Church of Scotland deacon), Malcolm McNeil, Colin Naismith and Ian Dickson (Treasurer & website). Advice and assistance are provided by past trustee Madge Irving (retired from Nursing and Social Care), Jenny Spence (in Castle Douglas), Avril Brown and Rev. David Bartholomew (in St John’s Town of Dalry), Allie Wilson (in Dumfries & Galloway), Jan Duncan and Ian McFadzean (Gift Aid), Kenneth Millar (Independent Examiner, Annual Reports), Cara Moynihan (labels & emails), Jeff Whittle (of Minuteman Press, Ayr) and many other kind supporters, incl. past trustee Jim Walsham and past Gift Aid organiser Fiona Boyd. The Abbas Rest logo was designed by Gillian Aitken.

Care and Share Malawi, is a registered (2015) in Malawi as a Faith Based Organisation, with four Trustees (George Makawa, Timothy Mukota, James Ntuluka and Mrs Fagess Chimangamunu). The Project Manager is Chikondi Gundo, and Blessings Chipoka is the Project Co-Ordinator. The Care and Share logo was designed by past manager Forster Abraham.
