Trustee visit June 2019

In May 2019, Scottish Abbas Rest trustee Madge Irving (paying her own air fare) visited Chiringa for almost a week. Madge found the charity in good heart – its work being appreciated, and George, Blessings and Forster, along with the other Malawi trustees Eunice and Timothy, working together for the community.

Madge reported to the Scottish trustees on all the areas of work – OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children), Nazareth Nursery School, the Elderlies, the Youth Group, and the HIV/AIDS support group. She discussed the coming year’s budget in detail, and noted the need for greater building maintenance at the compound. She was pleased to see the new water scheme completed.

Sorry, but we don’t have photos from her visit, apart from those in the May newsletter and in the extra June newsletter.
