Richard is an auto-electrician to trade, but has accumulated a vast range of skills encompassing mechanics, plumbing, joinery, decoration, & general electrical work.

My experience lies in nursing, midwifery & Health Visiting.

We both have a heart for the underprivileged.

In 2006, we visited Tanzania, near the Uluguru mountains, as part of a Short Term Missions Team through our church fellowship. Once there we were deeply affected by the plight of the orphans, but could do only a little, leaving funds for medical aid & on our return commenced fundraising in earnest!

We were truly blessed by the response & so last Sept, £2,200 was invested in the orphans:-a feeding programme was commenced, school uniforms purchased, broadband internet installed, lap top computer donated to enhance medical care, medical supplies & funding given towards free medical care. No money-no treatment!

This year, Richard hopes to return for 3 months, to establish workshops in skills such as mechanics, plumbing, joinery, electrics, & knitting/sewing to enable the youth to become self-sufficient. We will start 20 orphans in primary school, and visit outlying villages. We are looking for short/long term volunteers too! (self-financed.)
