Dear ARO, I would like to share with you some fresh bread of encouragement.

My heading is " The time of trifling is about over. God is calling the Elijah/Elisha class that are clothed with the power of God."

How do we walk in our Christian life? Do we still walk with our sight or our feelings? Do we walk and react by what happens and depending on the circumstances? How do we live our life at the moment?
Sad to say I still walk this way, but i want the Holy Spirit to keep on changing me so that I can be all that He wants me to be.
Seek the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you how you are at present. Stop all that you are doing and wait for an answer. The Bible tells us to walk by faith and not by sight. The Bible also tells us it is impossible to please Him without faith, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.     Hebrews 11:6

What is unseen by us is seen by God. We think we know something, where in fact we know little or nothing about what is around us or happening to others. Only God knows. We look through a glass dimly.....or " for now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know just as I am also known."         1Cor13:12

Hopefully we are getting to the point where we can really see how big God is and how much we need Him. If not please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to humble you enough to get to the place that He can do something with you. ( just joking) Although saying that, sometimes we need a kick up the...............to get us back on track. Forgive my French.

You may think that this letter is a little too simple and you have heard it a thousand times before. Well God knows what we need. Perhaps you would like your ears tickled a bit. It says in the last days God's people want their ears tickled.It also says in the last days churchgoers will have a form of Godliness but lacking the power there of. Remember our heading "....they are clothed with the power of God"

There are too many people dying in the world and too many hurting and suffering. We need to move by faith, live by faith, set the captives free. " He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor.  ..He has sent me to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord"      Luke 4:18-19

Yes, that is for you too! Maybe you will not leave your own home or country but He has called you to be a part of ARO at this time, and that is the vision He gave me when starting ARO in the year 2000. We are together God's body to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. What a time to proclaim this message when the world is going to pot.

In the Elijah class you might say; " Yes Lord, that's alright for some in ARO, but in my life right now there is little movement. I am not doing great things for God. Also there are big problems and my family is suffering". Well just think for a moment, what are God's aims in this all? The Bible says that we are created for God's pleasure. Not for doing stuff. What gives a father more pleasure than anything is the character of his son or daughter. Your biggest victories can come without you noticing at once. Because our biggest battles are the ones of God trying to change us from within ourselves. How we think, how we act, how we love and how we care for the neighbours and so on. ( Of course it depends on the neighbour, - just joking !!! )
Don't measure yourself by what you are doing but by what you are becoming. You see its all about character.

Again don't measure your fruit by what you are doing for Jesus, if you have to measure, measure by your relationship with Him. Also don't look at the gifts we have, but look to the giver. Look at the fruit that is coming out of your heart. Please read Gal. 5:22-26.

Remember it said in the Bible about a church worker who worked for his lord and when he met Jesus, Jesus said He never knew him. The Christian worker said but Lord, Lord I did many things for you I even cast out demons in your name. You will be all familiar with this story. This was no boring church goer. this was an anointed worker. Be careful about doing stuff. Be careful about the anointing. It is a wonderful gift. But still only a gift. Look at the fruit that is coming out of your heart.

I am not saying service is not important or that we can neglect it, otherwise what is ARO for? What I am saying is, don't lose your focus on Jesus and the Holy Spirit that God uses to change you within. That is why different things happen to different Christians because God knows what we need to change us from within.

Sometimes the battles come from the spirit world. You see we can not see into this area, that's another reason we need Jesus and the Holy Spirit because He sees into the spirit world. Also He, Jesus is interceding for us and He needs to direct us. Elijah had to fight many battles and many of them were physical. Thank God we are not called for the physical battle but we are called to fight the spiritual battle, We are not called to kill anyone although at times we might feel like it.

Ephesians 6:12. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies-the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world: and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.

Remember the time for trifling is over - or it should be. Let God open up our eyes that we would see in the coming time how God sees things, and how we can start to see things when we walk in faith in Him. Not by what we see, feel or understand. We are to strengthen the weak hands, and to make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful hearted, "Be strong, and do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance....Isaiah 35:3-4

We are called at this time to work for the poor in Africa. This is the street that God has given us (ARO). Let's work in the Elijah/ Elisha class together, no matter what our task is within ARO.

One last question. What is the Elijah class? Well let's read this together:

1 Kings 18:22-39 says-

Then Elijah said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of the Lord: but Ba'als prophets are four hundred and fifty men.                                                                                                                                                                          " Therefore let them give us two bulls: and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it: and  I will prepare the other bull, lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.                                                                                                                                                                                    " Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God who answers by fire, He is God. "So all the people answered and said, "It is well spoken.                                                     Now Elijah said to the prophets of Ba'al, Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many, and call on the name of your god, and put no fire under it. " So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Ba'al from morning even till noon, saying, "O Ba'al, hear us!! But there was no voice: no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. And so it was, at noon Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a god: either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened." So they dried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives ans lances, until the blood gushed out of them.        And when midday was passed, they prophesied until the time of offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice: no one answered, no one paid attention.  Then Elijah said to the people, "Come near to me" So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down, And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying. " Israel shall be your name." Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord: and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed, And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four pots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood. Then he said "Do it a second time" and they did it a second time: and he said " Do it a third time" So the water ran all around the altar, and he also filled the trench with water. And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that i have done all these things at Your Word. "Hear me O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that you are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to you again" Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was i the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, " The Lord He is God!! The Lord He is God!!

"Let it be made known this day that you are God in Israel and I am your servant, and I have done all these things at Your Word."

What fantastic words, let it be your prayer to the world that has gone to pot. We are His servants. I know that we are sons but what a privilege to be called a servant of the living God

Let's use these last words as our cry to the hurting world. Please pray for one another that we may move in the POWER of God. Wherever we may be: Finland, Scotland, England, Africa and not forgetting France. Let us not water down the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ who paid the price that we could have victory in our short time on this earth.
